History

On June 30, 2020, it was announced that AiKO would receive an update to Synthesizer V Studio. She was released as digital copies for the new engine on July 15. Options for a bundle with the Synthesizer V Studio engine were offered on ANiCUTE to members only. On July 30, she received a Lite voice database, which was a free version that was ideal for trying her out.

2025

On May 1, 2025, it was noted that AiKO was marked as sold out on ANiCUTE, the only online shop where her voice database was being sold. No official statement by VOLOR (whose last official Twitter activity, a retweet of fellow Animen vocal Eleanor Forte congratulating AiKO's eleventh anniversary, was logged back on November 19, 2023) or Animen was made to explain whether this is a temporary or permanent discontinuation of sales, in light of Synthesizer V Studio version 1 being retired by Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. in favor of Synthesizer V Studio 2 earlier on March 21.

Later on or around June 5, ANiCUTE's website was closed and taken offline, leaving users with the inability to purchase either AiKO Standard or fellow ANiCUTE exclusive Eleanor Forte AI (who was still marked as in stock before the store closure). This led Dreamtonics to remove the "Start Trial" and "Buy Now" buttons from Eleanor Forte AI and AiKO's listings (as well as those for the other fellow Animen vocal GENBU, even though he could still be bought from Japanese stores like DLsite and AH-Software Co. Ltd.'s AHS Store) on My Dreamtonics (the website set up by Dreamtonics for users to register the activation codes for their purchased SVS1 and SVS2 voice databases before using them on the new engine) near the end of June, citing that such "action has been taken following confirmation that our partner has discontinued sales", and leading users to speculate whether Eleanor AI and AiKO were indeed discontinued.

On July 1, ANiCUTE responded to a Chinese user's email inquiry that the online store was temporarily closed to allow them to make planned major adjustments to its business, and that new information would be posted later that month. Although ANiCUTE still offered to provide Alipay and WeChat payment codes as well as international purchase links for Eleanor Forte AI during the online store's maintenance period, they decided to hold off on selling AiKO for the time being, stating that she would "reopen for purchase in the near future" and that they would then notify users again by email.

On July 10, ANiCUTE responded to another user stating that they would reopen purchase next week. There have been no further updates since the writing of this response, leaving AiKO's current status unknown.

Usage on Synthesizer V Studio 2

For continued usage of AiKO Standard on the new Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro editor, Dreamtonics had prepared an SVS2-compatible version of AiKO Standard, technically an AI voice database trained from songs performed by the original SVS1 Standard voice database (akin to the Synthesizer V Plus voice databases that were developed by Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd. since December 2021, but never released to the public). This allows AiKO Standard to remain compatible with the new engine; however, she does not have access to the Vocal Mode function and does not support Korean Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis or any other Synthesizer V Studio 2-exclusive features, rendering the database similar to that of a first-generation Synthesizer V Studio vocal imported into the new engine. It was made available for download on March 21, 2025, exclusively to owners of the SVS1 version of AiKO Standard who registered their activation codes on the My Dreamtonics website.

AiKO v101 (Synthesizer V Studio 2 only) - circa March 31 to April 1, 2025 

A free update for AiKO's Synthesizer V Studio 2-compatible version was released to fix a cosmetic error where her in-editor icon was swapped with her piano-roll overlay artwork.

This is a Synthesizer V Studio 2-compatible version of AiKO Standard, a feminine vocal with Synthesizer V 2 AI training based upon the Standard version from Synthesizer V Studio, equivalent in concept to a Synthesizer V Plus voice database.

Vocal traits as noted:

• The traits may remain similar to her Synthesizer V Studio voice database, which includes her sweet and natural sounding voice.
• AiKO Standard is able to sing more realistically through changes in volume and breath, further enriching singing details, making each singing unique, and providing creators with more options. Through this mode, she can use AI Retakes to create multiple "takes" of a sung section to find an ideal vocal without the need for "laborious tuning". This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.
