HALO (ハロ Haro) is a Japanese vocal developed and distributed by Bushiroad Inc. in collaboration with AH-Software Co. Ltd., which released as an AI voice database for the Synthesizer V Studio 2 software in March 2025 (along with an AI voice database compatible with the older Synthesizer V Studio engine). She is the fourth vocal to be released as a part of Bushiroad Inc.'s BanG Dream! AI Singing Synthesizer project, Yumenokessho (夢ノ結唱, English; "A Dream Duet").

Her voice provider is Miku Itou.

Concept[]

HALO is a representation of Tsurumaki Kokoro, one of the protagonists of the BanG Dream! franchise. Kokoro was a first-year student at Hanasakigawa Girls' High School when she debuted, now being a third-year at the same school, and is the leader and vocalist for Hello, Happy World!.

On her official BanG Dream! website profile, Kokoro is noted to be a girl who loves to see others smile and is curious by nature. Her eyes glimmer with excitement on her never-ending search for fun things to do. Being the only daughter of well-off parents has allowed her unrealistic ideas to be brought to life.[1]

While the character is based on Tsurumaki Kokoro, the Synthesizer V 2 AI library is meant to capture the sounds of Hello, Happy World! and was named HALO as a result, a short deformation from the band's name.

Etymology[]

HALO's name comes from Tsurumaki Kokoro's band name Hello, Happy World!, and more especially a deformation from the Japanese katakana for the band name.
