History[]
2022[]
On June 30, 2022, a demonstration of the new upcoming High Dynamics Voice Models (HDVM) feature was uploaded to Dreamtonics Co., Ltd.'s YouTube and bilibili accounts. An unnamed female English voice database was shown, but it was not confirmed who this vocalist was at the time.[1][2]
On September 22, Dreamtonics revealed two new voice databases in progress: a feminine English voice known as "Natalie" and a masculine Japanese voice known as "Yuma". Each vocal had one demo featured in their debut video and a brief description of their voice databases. Both were confirmed to be compatible with the Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis, Vocal Mode, and AI retake functions.[3] On October 7, Natalie and Yuma officially released as digital copies, with starter packs available from Dreamtonics and AH-Software Co. Ltd..[4] At some point after Natalie was revealed or released, when viewing the HDVM demo on bilibili, with the "bullet comments screen" function turned on, the portion with the new English female voice would have Natalie's demo pop up on screen, confirming that she was this vocalist.[5]
2024[]
On May 8, 2024, Natalie Nicole Gilbert, an American singer and musician, officially confirmed that she was the voice provider for Natalie.[6] Follow-up emails to Dreamtonics verified this claim.[7]
Updates[]
Retirement[]
Natalie was discontinued by Dreamtonics on March 21, 2025 with the release of Synthesizer V Studio 2 and Natalie 2. As of March 23, several Japanese online stores like the AHS Store, DLsite, and SONICWIRE still sell the original Natalie voice database, but stock may be limited.
Usage on Synthesizer V Studio 2[]
Natalie can be imported into (and used on) Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro by simply registering her SVS1 activation code into the My Dreamtonics website.

Voice Databases[]
- Regarding Natalie's ranges, she has a soft and clear upper range, in addition to rich and expressive vocals in her lower range. On the highest notes in the range, she can smoothly transition into a natural falsetto tone, giving her a dreamy quality.
- Natalie was noted to be suitable for easy listening and music with strong backing tracks like EDM, but she can be flexible in a wide variety of genres.
- With High Dynamics Voice Model (HDVM), which later migrated to Diffusion Probabilistic Models (DPM) per the 1.8.0b1 update on November 10, 2022,[9] Natalie can sing more realistically through changes in volume and breath, further enriching singing details, making each singing unique, and providing creators with more options. Through this mode, she can use AI Retakes to create multiple "takes" of a sung section to find an ideal vocal without the need for "laborious tuning". This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio Pro and Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro editors.
- Phoneme format: ARPABET
- Through Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis, Natalie can sing in not only English but also in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Since the release of her v106b1 update on April 18, 2023, she can also sing in Cantonese Chinese with this feature; since her v109b1 update on December 18, she can also sing in Spanish with this feature. Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio Pro and Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro editors.
- Natalie comes with five variations:
- "Soft"
- "Soulful"
- "Steady"
- "Bold"
- "Warm"
- OS: Microsoft Windows 11 / 10 / 8.1 (64 bit) and up; Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) and up; Ubuntu 20.04 (64 bit) and up.[32]
- In January 2023, AH-Software removed support for Windows 8.1, for which extended support had ended, and also upped the macOS requirement to 10.13 (High Sierra) or later.[33]
- CPU: Intel Core i5 or higher, or equivalent AMD processor.
- For high-quality editing of AI audio: Intel Core series 4th generation i5 or higher is recommended, or AMD Athlon X4 845 or higher, including Ryzen series.
- After the release of Synthesizer V Studio 1.5.1, which added native support for Apple Silicon Mac computers, AHS appended this to the CPU specs: Apple M1 or higher.[34]
- Memory: 2GB or more.
- HDD: 1 GB or more.
- Display resolution: 1280 x 800 or higher resolution.

Certain users were invited to create songs using earlier versions of the voice database and release the songs in sequence after the product's release as a complement to official demo tracks. It should also be noted that certain songs may not be involved with the early invitation and were added based on the company's preference. Only songs that feature Natalie as a main vocalist would be added to this demo table.
