2025[]

On February 13, 2025, new details regarding the Synthesizer V AI Yumenokessho series were revealed. The official announcement confirmed the upcoming release of Synthesizer V 2 AI PASTEL and HALO, along with Synthesizer V 2 AI upgrades for POPY and ROSE. Pre-orders for a limited production package version became available through the Bushiroad Online Store on the same day.[1]

The digital software released on April 25 as intended. Upgrade codes were only put available on the Japanese Bushiroad Online Store at that time,[2] and were also made available on the Bushiroad Global Online Store on April 30.[3]

POPY is a feminine Japanese voice database. As an AI vocal, this enables her to sound realistic and human-like.

Vocal traits as noted:

POPY is able to sing more realistically through changes in volume and breath, further enriching singing details, making each singing unique, and providing creators with more options. Through this mode, she can use AI Retakes to create multiple "takes" of a sung section to find an ideal vocal without the need for "laborious tuning". This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.

It is to note that this voicebank has no retrocompatibility with Synthesizer V Studio editor, as it is an update of the existing POPY AI database for Synthesizer V 2 engine.

  • Phoneme format: Romaji
  • Through Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis, POPY can sing in not only Japanese but also in English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Spanish, and Korean. This feature is only available in the Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro Editor.

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 (4th generation) or higher; AMD Ryzen; Apple M1 or higher.
  • RAM: 4GB or higher
  • Disk Space: 1 GB or higher (for installing one voice database)
    • The amount of space required depends on the number of voice databases installed.

Other:

  • Sound card
  • Internet connection is necessary for activation and obtaining updates.
  • An email address able to send and receive messages is required. (You need to create an account at Dreamtonics to use the product.)
