The "Status on Synthesizer V" page acts as a guide for readers and editors alike. The "Status" page lists all the voice databases produced using Synthesizer V technology; this includes any commercial releases, announcements, developments, and projects involving the Synthesizer V franchise.
Releases[]
The most commonly known Synthesizer Vs are the free or commercially sold units produced by first and third party studios. These are produced under license by Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. and are able to be downloaded for free or bought by any bidding producers through commercial outlets. Their quality and capabilities vary, as do the licensing agreements issued by the respected studios involved.
Synthesizer V[]
A total of 8 releases were available for Synthesizer V in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese. It should be noted that not every voice database was deemed "completed", but were available for use regardless. This version of the engine and its compatible voice databases were officially retired on July 10, 2020.

Web Synthesizer V[]
Web Synthesizer V is an internet browser-integrated vocal synthesis engine developed by Dreamtonics Co., Ltd.. It was introduced as a branch off of the "SVR2" (later known as Synthesizer V Studio) development, but released during Synthesizer V's era. Web Synthesizer V uses minimized database versions of vocalists and have no system requirements aside from an internet connection and a supported browser.
A total of 3 releases were available for Web Synthesizer V in Japanese. It should be noted that only JA-F2's vocal remains functional as of December 2021.

Synthesizer V Studio[]
Synthesizer V Studio was initially introduced in July 2020 and only had Standard voice database types available. AI voice database types were added in December that year. Lite versions were introduced as free downloads that encouraged trialing, and were single-pitched voice databases that had their own set of rules for commercial use. It should be noted that not every Synthesizer V Studio release would have both a Standard and AI voice database, and may only release as either one. They may also not have lite options available.
Synthesizer V Studio Standard[]
A total of 16 releases were available for Synthesizer V Studio in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese as standard voice databases.

Synthesizer V AI[]
A total of 17 releases were available for Synthesizer V Studio in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese as AI voice databases. As of Synthesizer V Studio version 1.5.0, all AI vocals are capable of Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis, which allowed any AI voice database to not only sing in their base language but also fluently in the other two available languages despite not being trained nor recorded in them. Cross-lingual singing synthesis is only available to the "Pro" version of the editor and only works with full releases.

Weina | Dreamtonics Co., Ltd., Ready Steady Sound!, & Sound & Vision Media Studio |
On June 15, 2022, Dreamtonics announced that news was expected for June 17 at 17:00 GMT+8. The project was not specified, but was noted to be an introduction of a new era, allowing users to witness the collision of art and technology.[1] On June 17, the Synthesizer V AI Gold series was introduced, and Weina was expected to release as the first vocal of the lineup in July 2022. Her illustration was revealed, but no demo was available at the time. Weina Hu was confirmed to be the vocal director and voice provider for the project.[2]

Hanakuma Chifuyu | TOKYO6 ENTERTAINMENT & AH-Software Co. Ltd. |
Hanakuma Chifuyu was introduced in a campaign titled "Koharu Rikka x Otaru Collaboration (小春六花×小樽コラボ)" on May 22, 2021, and was voiced by Kaya Okuno. It was confirmed in June that Chifuyu would be produced for Synthesizer V AI and CeVIO AI.[3] She was confirmed to be the third character in the lineup and a crowdfunding campaign for her would be launched from June 26, 2022 to July 26, 2022.[4][5] She was expected to release in October.[6]

Chiyu SV Plus, Shian SV Plus, Cangqiong SV Plus, Haiyi SV Plus, Muxin SV Plus, Minus SV Plus | Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd. |
On December 23, 2021, it was announced that Chiyu, Shian, Cangqiong, Haiyi, Muxin, and Minus were expected to be upgraded with AI voice databases and would be able to support Synthesizer V Studio 1.5.0's Cross-lingual Synthesis capabilities. It was clarified that the AI versions were trained by the Standard voice databases, and were not meant to be replacements for Standard nor would the update be available directly via the editor. As a separate type of voice database, the new libraries would need to be repacked in new installation packages, which required separate activation codes. The upgrades would be distributed to existing users for free and prices would be raised for new buyers soon due to the new inclusions.[7] They were originally slated for release that day, however, Beijing Photek decided to delay them due to a lack of confidence about their performance as rushed products. A limited beta-testing would run first. The voice databases would release after their performances were proven satisfactory. By then, Quadimension hoped to find an efficient way to distribute the AI activation codes.[8] On December 30, the voice databases were officially called "Synthesizer V Plus".[9] Currently, only Cangqiong and Muxin have public demonstrations available.

Eleanor Forte Standard | VOLOR |
Eleanor was confirmed to be updating to Synthesizer V Studio. While a lite version was released on July 30, 2020, a full release was not yet made available. On October 30, 2020, in response to a fan's tweet regarding the update, VOLOR stated there would be a compromise of the schedule due to attempting to fully utilize the cutting edge technology for Synthesizer V.[10]
On May 11, 2021, VOLOR noted that plans were set back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also noted that there was an interest in making an AI edition for Eleanor, but noted that she may sound very different compared to her original Synthesizer V release, while a Standard voice database would sound more faithful. Though a full Standard voice database is still being planned, it may take years to develop.[11] Eleanor's AI voicebank was eventually released several months later on December 6 2021.

ROSA | ZAN-SHIN Co., Ltd. |
On March 20, 2021, HirotoP confirmed that ROSA, CUL's younger sister, was in production for Synthesizer V and CeVIO AI in Japanese and English.[12] The voice actress was confirmed to be Shirayuki, the winner of ROSA's official audition, and the illustrator was confirmed to be Yoshida Iyo.[13] According to the project timeline, they were releasing ROSA's voice databases in this order: Japanese CeVIO AI Talk, Japanese Synthesizer V AI, English CeVIO AI Talk, and English Synthesizer V AI.[14] ROSA's Japanese CeVIO AI talk voicebank was released on December 17. Production of her Synthesizer V AI Japanese voice database has not yet been funded nor started, but is planned to have it created in 2022.[15] |

SOLARIA Standard | Eclipsed Sounds, LLC |
On May 10, 2021, Eclipsed Sounds officially revealed a small sample of SOLARIA (previously known as "SOLARIS").[16] According to the company, the demo used a test library based on the standard recording method and was created with a very limited recording list, meaning that it would only give listeners an idea of what the vocal would be like.[17] A crowdfunding campaign for the production of a Synthesizer V AI voice database was confirmed to begin on May 14.[18] Depending on how her crowdfunding campaign proceeded, a standard voice database could be a possible option for a stretch goal depending on the demand. This was later restated to be based on high demand in the future.[19] Otherwise, there was no intention to release this voice database.[20]
JA-F1 | Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. |
JA-F1 is a work-in-progress feminine Japanese voice database created for internal use by Dreamtonics when developing Synthesizer V. There are currently no plans to release the voice database.
MAN-M1 | Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. |
MAN-M1 is an unreleased masculine Chinese voice database developed for internal use by Dreamtonics when developing Synthesizer V. There are currently no plans to release the voice database.
MAN-F1 | Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. |
MAN-F1 is a work-in-progress feminine Chinese voice database developed for internal use by Dreamtonics when developing Synthesizer V. There are currently no plans to release the voice database. The latest mention of MAN-F1 was during Qing Su's (MAN-F3) livestream, where it was asked if the pair shared a voice provider. Dreamtonics confirmed that they did not. It was restated that MAN-F1 (and similar voice databases) were used for internal alpha and beta tests. These types of voice databases would only see comercialization if the quality was considered satisfactory.[21] |
Rumour mill[]
These vocals are rumoured or hinted to be released but their status has not been made official.
Possible future voice databases[]
This section contains hints, confirmations and suggestions put out by Synthesizer V studios.

Yamine Renri Chinese | VOLOR & Yuzuri |
VOLOR confirmed through email that Yamine Renri's update was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they confirmed that they were thinking about giving her a Chinese voice database due to her voice provider studying it.[22] News about this potential voice database is currently unknown.
CUL, REV, and other concepts | ZAN-SHIN Co., Ltd. |
Throughout 2020, HirotoP had been composing tweets in regards to CUL and the many parts of her project. He revealed that REV was meant to become a VOCALOID, but his project fell through, and later revealed that CUL had conceptual sisters themed around the following colors: blue, white, yellow, and red. It was also confirmed that she had a twin sister known as "Black CUL" (Wet Crow). In response to a fan, HirotoP also expressed interest in updating CUL but did not give further details.[23]
It was confirmed that after ROSA is released, an official livestream would be launched for announcements.[24] Depending on if ROSA sells well, REV may also be considered for development.[25] REV later released as a DeepVocal voicebank on May 24, 2021, with HirotoP voicing him. He is being considered for a commercial voicebank depending on his popularity, and should it happen, a proper voice actor or singer would be assigned to him.[26]
ZERO | Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd. |
On March 28, 2019, Ddickky posted on weibo that two Xingchen voice databases were being planned for Synthesizer V. These voice databases were labelled as "Xingchen/ZERO English" and "Xingchen/ZERO Chinese", as the character would be determined based on the differences between the new voice databases and Xingchen's original VOCALOID voicebank. If the differences were too great, the voice databases would be known as ZERO rather than Xingchen.[27]
On August 25, 2021, Xingchen Infinity was announced to be in production for Synthesizer V AI, though information about ZERO was not mentioned. Due to Xingchen's production launch for Synthesizer V, it may be possible that ZERO may not receive a voice database for the software.
Xingchen English | Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd. |
If the differences were too great, the voice databases would be known as ZERO rather than Xingchen.[28]
Xingchen Infinity was later announced on August 25, 2021. This was planned to be a Synthesizer V AI voice database. It is currently unknown if the English voice database would still be produced, especially since cross-lingual synthesis (introduced since Synthesizer V Studio Pro 1.5.0) allows AI voice databases to sing in all three officially-supported languages (Japanese, English, and Mandarin Chinese).
Shiki Rowen | Independent Developer |
On May 17, 2021, Yuuma tweeted that Kemonone Row and Shiki Taigen were expected to have commercial voicebanks developed on a software that would support English input. It was noted that the English voicebanks would be based on Japanese pronunciation.[29] The platform was not confirmed at the time.[30] In regards to Row's name, Yuuma noted that he wasn't sure which would be better for a person's name as he didn't know enough English to make a decision, leaving this to fans to give suggestions.[31] This later led to Yuuma tweeting that the name would be changed to "Rowen Shiki", Row's real name, after the development of a commercial voicebank was decided. It would serve to unify with the family name "Shiki", which was the same as Shiki Taigen, Row's great-grandfather.[32]
Later on July 5, Yuuma expressed interest in creating a Synthesizer V AI database for Row, though a crowdfund would be necessary to produce it.[33] He later asked overseas fans on July 7 if Row's voicebank should be on Synthesizer V, and if so, a Standard voice database was considered due to budget.[34] Synthesizer V was not a final decision, but it was confirmed to still be a consideration. A decision on crowdfunding would be dependent on support and encouragement from fans.[35] The estimated budget would be based on previous successful Synthesizer V crowdfunds.[36]
Quaid | Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd. |
On May 27, 2021, Ddickky gave on Bilibili an explanation for the origin of the name Quaid (奎德) as applied to the upcoming MEDIUM⁵ 2050 game's big villain boss: originally, after considering Quadimension's full English name to be too long (due to the English part being "not conducive to dissemination"), he wanted to enable "Quad" both as an abbreviation for Quadimension and as the name of the game's protagonist, but then feeling that the Chinese transliteration of "Quaid" at that time "didn't sound like a good guy's name", he chose to reuse it instead for the villain.[37] Later on October 2, Ryan, one of Quadimension's tuners,[38] published on Bilibili a status where he mused about national holidays being good days for working on tunings while also complaining about having a "queue of hobby to-dos" before him after finishing business tunings: "I used to be a person who would want to learn to sing whenever I heard a song I liked, but now when I listen to it, I only think about who" (the vocal) "would be more suitable for tuning it. As a result, there's always new to-dos entering my desk, (and thus) I can never get finished with my backlogs."[39] There, he attached an almost-completely-censored screenshot of some lengthy memo of "candid songs", with its title and headings being the only readable lines there: the bottom-most headings were the names of all Quadimension vocals (including Xingchen), Eleanor Forte, and an "English Male" (Dreamtonics' unnamed English male vocal), but also the name Quaid was inserted between Minus (given there as 减减) and Muxin, leading some Weibo user one day later to speculate whether there was more information or updates on Quaid (as a potential voice), "otherwise how can Ryan judge whether Quaid is suitable for singing?"[40] There is, however, no explicit mention of any (private or beta) voice database for Quaid, nor any mention of a vocal-synth for it. |
Awaiting further confirmation[]
The following are possible upcoming voicebanks whose statuses are not yet clarified, or they are vocal developments that were announced but have not had any updates about their statuses within the last six months.

GENBU AI | VirVox Project & VOLOR |
On August 1, 2021, VirVox Project announced that a crowdfund campaign for GENBU's AI voice database would be launched in Mid-August.[41] Due to discrepancies, the crowdfund for his AI voice database was cancelled.[42] Continued production of the AI voice database is unknown.
XIA YU YAO | E-CAPSULE Co. Ltd. & VOICEMITH |
On May 27, 2022, VOICEMITH, a planning team under E-CAPSULE Co. Ltd., posted a tweet written in binary code that translated to "YU YAO AI sound library crowdfund preparation", with "YU YAO" referring to their UTAU XIA YU YAO. The image accompanied with the tweet featured a logo of the third character of her name (YAO) next to a standing microphone.[43] On May 28, another announcement was posted with an image featuring the number 8 and five colored blocks. This time, the text needed to be decoded with Caesar Cipher, translating to "YAO Synthesizer V AI".[44] The post was removed the following day without further clarification of the development engine, though it was said she would not be produced for UTAU or VOCALOID.[45] On May 31, YU YAO's AI database crowdfund launched on the flyingV platform that was scheduled to end on July 15 at 23:59.[46] The goal was set to 1,500,000 NTD. Mi Yang would be reprising the role of her voice provider and izumi returned as her official illustrator. The crowdfund rewards were expected to be delivered in November 2022, marking this as her tentative release date. |
