TMIK Co., Ltd. (株式会社TMIK) is a creative company that specializes in "Music x Produce x Technology x Law". The company aims to combine production capabilities, self proclaimed as "among the best in Japan", with advanced AI technology. The company is noted to be implementing new possibilities in the music content business and providing various products so that companies, creators, and artists who are "trying to create new things" can design attractive contents and services more freely.[2]
TMIK Co., Ltd. is one of two production companies responsible for the creation and involvement of the next-generation virtual singer "VSinger"[3] project, En-gene. Their first developed AI vocalist for the project, Shirakami Meito, made her debut in March 2023 and is among the companies' first exclusive Synthesizer V Studio vocalists.

TMIK Co., Ltd. was founded on June 3, 2020 by representative Tamai Kenji (玉井健二), a producer of numerous hit songs including that of the Japanese singer and lyricist Aimer. TMIK Co., Ltd. is most notably known for the production of the AI track generation software FIMMIGRM (フィミグラム), released on August 1, 2022, enabling users to generate musical tracks using AI technology in just a few clicks, generating a high-quality original song.[4][2] The software was first demonstrated at the J-WAVE INNOVATION WORLD FESTA 2022 on October 23, 2022, in collaboration with the musical artist NOA.[5]
On March 22, 2024, in collaboration with in-house composition AI technology developed by agehasprings Holdings Corp., TMIK Co., Ltd. announced the production of the En-gene virtual singer "VSinger" project. Three vocalists were selected by the company amongst many candidates to take part in the project, one of which would become the Synthesizer V AI-powered singer Shirakami Meito, who made her official debut on March 22, 2024, alongside two other virtual talents Hakushi Matsuri and Shirakiri Rei. There are currently no known plans to release the voice database publicly and thus far only Shirakami Meito has been confirmed for Synthesizer V. It it currently unknown if the other two vocalists will also be developed for Synthesizer V.[6][7]

En-gene, also stylized as EN-GENE, is a next-generation virtual singer "VSinger" project "born from the technological capabilities" of TMIK Co., Ltd.. The project was co-developed with in-house composition AI technology developed by agehasprings Holdings Corp..[8] En-gene made its official debut on March 22, 2024 with three vocalists: the Synthesizer V Studio AI-powered vocalist Shirakami Meito, and two other virtual artists, Hakushi Matsuri and Shirakiri Rei.

Shirakami Meito[]
Shirakami Meito (白神芽音, シラカミ メイト) is the first character revealed from the En-gene project; she is a private Japanese Synthesizer V Studio vocal developed by Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. for TMIK Co., Ltd.. She is an android manufactured by a group of engineers who love music. She specializes in singing. Various personalities that were sampled during the research stage are installed in the USB memory stick attached to her ear; when the USB drive is changed, she transforms into a different personality. She has been programmed to work autonomously on the Internet, allowing herself to be exposed to various users and contents; in this way, she learns about what she likes: Japanese subcultures (mainly music, games, animation, etc.) and their information. In order to improve her singing ability, data on her attempts to sing songs she is interested in is released on a daily basis.[9]

Hakushi Matsuri (白紫 茉莉, ハクシマツリ) is a virtual singer (VSinger). She is a sweet-tempered angel who goes at her own pace. Her name comes from jasmine. (Matsuri is the Japanese name for jasmine.) She was told by the chief angel that she was "in charge of Chūgoku" and worked in the Chūgoku region of Japan for a number of years, but at the quadrennial angel meeting, she was told that she was also in charge of the big one, China, and rushed over to China.[9]

Shirakiri Rei[]
Shirakiri Rei (白切鴒, シラキリ レイ) is a virtual singer (VSinger). She is a recluse and romantic. She was a cleaner in a certain world. When she needs to relax, she sings during her breaks, which attracts birds for some reason. One day, while she was singing, a strange bird she had never seen before came close to her, and as she followed its invitation, she found herself in an unknown world (this world). In this world, she became interested in games and singing, and started her activities. Completely fascinated by her activities, she is now living as a recluse, never going outside.[9]
